Sri Lanka ODIs without Jasprit Bumrah

The three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka that begins on Tuesday will not include Jasprit Bumrah. It was decided not to push him into action too quickly, according to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) sources. He has not arrived in Guwahati, where the first ODI will be played.

Bumrah (29), according to earlier statements from the BCCI, was selected for the ODI on the advice of the all-India selection committee. The BCCI had announced in a media release on January 3 that bowler Jasprit Bumrah had been added to India's ODI team for the forthcoming Mastercard 3-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.

Bumrah hasn't played any cricket since September 2022, and a back ailment prevented him from competing in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup. "The National Cricket Academy has deemed the bowler fit after he underwent rehabilitation (NCA). He will soon join the Team India ODI lineup "The BCCI has added that.

The NCA staff specifically recommended that he not play in the ODIs, but it has since come to light that he won't be doing so. The decision was made with the major tasks, like the Test series against Australia and the World Cup later in the year, in mind.

Later, the BCCI confirmed Bumrah's ineligibility and stated that the decision had been made out of caution. Bumrah would require additional time to develop his bowling resilience, according to a statement from the BCCI, which also noted that the Selection Committee has not chosen a substitute. Bumrah was scheduled to join the team in Guwahati prior to the ODI series.

He may participate in the series against New Zealand, who India will face in that order starting on January 18 in three ODIs and as many T20I.

Bumrah has stayed away from the national team, while other Indian players who missed the T20I series, like skipper Rohit Sharma, vice-captain KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, and Shreyas Iyer, have joined the team in Guwahati.

Cricket Betting Weather

Predicting and betting on the results of cricket matches is referred to as cricket betting. A cricket match's outcome can be significantly impacted by the weather because it can change the playing field and the players' performance. For instance, heavy rain might postpone or even cancel a game, and intense heat can make it impossible for players to provide their best effort. As a result, it is crucial for cricket bettors to monitor the weather forecast for forthcoming matches and take it into account when making wagers.
